My name is Rachael Willingham and I have been in the tax & corporate industry for many years. I have an Associate degree in Business Administration and many certificates in Microsoft Office. I am registered with the Internal Revenue Service for preparing taxes and I am a current Notary.
After working in daycare for six years, I was ready for a change. A professional friend suggested the tax industry. One season in and I was hooked. I loved everything about the tax world and couldn’t wait for the next season.
I spent the next 15 years working with multiple large tax firms gaining skillset and knowledge that I still use present day. I took on another full-time job a few years ago to offset the costs of raising five kids. Even with the extra income from the new job, I still had dreams of opening my own tax office. The truth was…I was scared. Scared of failure, scared of leaving that secured 8-5 job!!
The eye opener came when my youngest (7) said “mommy, you always have to work, I never get to spend any time with you!”
That was it, that was my sign. My sign that making lasting memories is ultimately my first goal. I realized that by the time I commuted two hours a day and worked eight, the school knew my kids better than I did.
So… here I am!! Ready to take my memories back and dive into what fuels my soul! Taxes!! I know it can be hard trusting someone new when it comes to your finances, but I can assure you that I treat every return like my own. I want to take the worry of tax season away and create a pleasant environment for you and your family.

November 1, 2022, UPDATE
I did it!! I quit that 8-5 and became my own BOSS! God has been so good to me and my family, and I have to share it with you.
Even though tax season will always equal 16-hour days, 7 days a week; I now have my time back with my kids. No more afterschool, no more rushing from one moment to another, no more missed conferences and field trips, and best of all no more telling the littles “Sorry mommy has to work”!
This past season was such a blessing. I met so many new people in our community. In May, I was able to open at our NEW LOCATION 223 Bankhead Highway, Carrollton! I can’t wait to show you the new office and for you to see all the hard work the kids and myself put into it. Special thanks to Evelyn and her family for their much-needed help and special touches she blessed me with.
As I painted and decorated each room, I prayed that God touches each person that enters Butterfly Tax Solutions. With so much going on in the world, I wanted to create a safe and happy environment for you to get your taxes prepared.
